Betty Boothroyd

In 1992 I first met Betty Boothroyd when she was ‘speaker of the house of commons‘, photographing her for my book “people of the 90s”.

Our friendship grew through the years. She opened many exhibitions for me, spoke at my opening, at the national portrait gallery in 2001. We dined socially many times and we are in regular touch to this day (2020).

An exceptional person and a great friend I am privileged to have.
